The ninth edition confirms the growing importance of the Italian ultra-trail event, characterized by four new course records and a historic hat-trick. The 170 km race rewards the determination of Daniele Nava and sees the dominance of Giulia Saggin. Successes for Manser and Rennhack in the 100 km, Reiterer and Bani in the 35 km
On Friday evening the 1986 athlete won the intermediate distance race, with a final time of 14 hours, 33 minutes, and 41 seconds, a new course record
The 45-year-old athlete, after leading from the beginning, won in 11 hours, 39 minutes and 32 seconds
After last week’s postponement due to unfavorable weather conditions, the event is set to start tomorrow in Vezza D’Oglio (Italy) with an excellent weekend weather forecast. More than 10% of the nearly 600 participants hail from sixteen different Countries outside of Italy, reflecting the race’s growing international appeal. Among the top contenders are Swiss runner Walter Manser and Italian Andreas Reiterer
