The Brescia-based main sponsor renews its commitment to the trail and ultra running event in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area, scheduled for September 25-27, providing every athlete with premium technical apparel. Last month for the registrations
Trail and ultra running leave nothing to chance, and a single piece of equipment can make the difference between a finish and a DNF. That is the common ground on which Adamello Ultra Trail and MICO Sport have built a relationship now entering its ninth consecutive year, with the Brescia-based company confirmed as main sponsor of the 12th edition, set for September 25-27.
The bond between the two partners has grown on solid, common roots. First, a geographical one: seven of the eight municipalities crossed by the courses lie in the province of Brescia, the very area where MICO has been protagonist for over fifty years. The second is about quality — the quality of the trails on one side, of technical apparel on the other — along with a shared belief that the mountains are best told through those who travel them, with all the respect and preparation that requires.
The 2026 edition will once again see MICO Sport featured in the race packs across all four distances, from 35 km to 170 km.
“Adamello Ultra Trail is an event we hold particularly close,” says Giovanni Setti of MICO. “Over the years we have built a solid relationship with the organizers, grounded in the same values: a passion for the mountains, a focus on quality and respect for those who live sport authentically. Being here means supporting an event that fully reflects our philosophy, and standing alongside athletes and enthusiasts with products designed to deliver comfort and protection in any condition.”
MICO’s involvement confirms the company’s commitment to events that champion trail running and outdoor sports. It is also a chance to restate the message at the heart of the brand’s philosophy: Socks First. For MICO, technical socks and base layers are where performance begins — they sit closest to the skin and play a decisive role in ensuring comfort, protection and wellbeing throughout the entire activity. Because good performance always starts from the basics.
And this principle faces its toughest test on the #AUT courses: 11,500 metres of elevation gain on the 100-mile distance, with mountain passes above 2,500 m asl, dramatic temperature swings between day and night, and up to 52 hours of continuous effort.
“Having a partner staying on our side for nine years says a lot about the way we work,” adds Paolo Gregorini of ASD Adamello Ultra Trail. “MICO knows our mountains and knows what runners need out there, as witnessed by the quality of the apparel athletes find in their race pack, year after year.”
The brand’s support extends well beyond the main weekend. MICO will also be part of the Adamello Series on September 13 in Vione (Brescia), where the Adamello Vertical Kilometer and the Adamello Trail Junior will kick-off the 2026 program.
REGISTRATION: THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!
There’s only one month left to sign up for the Pontedilegno-Tonale trail and ultra running event: the deadline is Sunday, September 13, the same day as the Adamello Series.
The routes’ offer is unchanged: Adamello Ultra Trail 170 km (11,500 m D+), Adamello Trail 100 km (6,050 m D+), Adamello Half Trail 60 km (4,000 m D+) and Adamello Short Trail 35 km (2,200 m D+). Capacity is capped at 250 places on the 170 km and 300 on each of the other three races.
Again in 2026, the collaboration with the TORX eXperience circuit awards finishers of the 100 and 170 km with 15 PAX for Tor des Géants 2027, without going through the lottery.
