Following the debut of their partnership in 2025, the trail running event in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area (September 25–27) and the German technical footwear brand, part of Tecnica Group, renew and intensify their relationship for the 2026 edition
Adamello Ultra Trail, whose 12th edition will take place on September 25–27, lives by one of sport’s best-known sayings: “Never change a winning team.” That’s why the list of partners supporting the trail running event in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area includes several that have been alongside #AUT since its origins or close to it.
LOWA, a German brand with over a century of experience in footwear and part of the Italian Tecnica Group S.p.A. since 1993, is quickly earning a place in that group. After making its debut in an unforgettable 2025 edition – which brought #AUT records of over 1,000 participants and involvement from 34 countries – LOWA will stand alongside athletes on the #AUT trails again in 2026.
On these rough, often rocky trails, the German brand’s expertise and tradition in designing trekking, mountaineering, and outdoor shoes become decisive. Adamello Ultra Trail is a challenge distinguished by exceptionally high mental and physical demands, and equally high-quality equipment makes the difference in terms of performance and comfort during the many hours of racing.
“For LOWA, mountains have always been our starting point,“ said Gian Luca Farinazzo, Head of Sales at LOWA Italia. “Renewing our collaboration with Adamello Ultra Trail means returning to an environment that perfectly expresses what we believe in: passion, endurance, and respect for the territory. The distances, elevation gains, and technical nature of the courses make #AUT a true challenge, where athletes need to rely on their own legs, but also on top equipment. It’s precisely in this context that we want to support the runners, alongside a community that lives the outdoors authentically and knows how to test itself on demanding terrain.”
“We’re happy to continue with LOWA,” echoed Paolo Gregorini of Adamello Ultra Trail ASD. “A partner that proved itself reliable and quality-focused in the first edition. Our philosophy leads us to continue relationships that help grow the event and allow us to improve it, which is why in 2026 we wanted to keep going together.”
FINAL DAYS FOR REGISTRATION
Sunday, September 13 represents the first important date for Adamello Ultra Trail 2026. On one hand, registration closes for the main event; on the other, the Adamello Series take place in Vione (Brescia).
In the morning, the Adamello Vertical Kilometer will award the Italian Absolute and Age-Group Vertical Championship titles in partnership with the Italian Skyrunning Federation (FISKY), and will be held alongside the non-competitive version (Vertical Slow) and the youth version (Vertical Junior), a round of the Coppa Italia Giovani supported by MICO. In the afternoon, the Adamello Trail Junior will kick off for kids and teenagers, featuring different loops with varying lengths and difficulty designed according to participants’ ages.
The main event confirms its traditional four distances: Adamello Ultra Trail 170 km (11,500 m D+), Adamello Trail 100 km (6,050 m D+), Adamello Half Trail 60 km (4,000 m D+), and Adamello Short Trail 35 km (2,200 m D+). A total of 250 places are available on the 170 km and 300 on each of the other three races.
Speaking of longtime partners, the collaboration with the TORX eXperience circuit continues: the finishers of the 100 or 170 km compete for 15 PAX, the priority points that grant entry to the Tor des Géants 2027, assigned without going through the lottery draw.
