The trail running event in the Italian Alps confirms its late-September fixture, as well as the four distances of the latest edition. Runners can choose among 35, 60, 100 and 170 km routes in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area
Following a record-breaking edition, Adamello Ultra Trail doesn’t look to slow down. The trail and ultra running event in the Italian Alps wants to keep progressing, and has announced its eleventh edition for September 26-28, 2025.
In 2025, #AUT breaks into its second decade of history, and can look back to its escalation with pride: from 52 participants (all except one coming from Italy) of the debut year, 2014, to over 900 athletes from 32 Countries in 2024.
Among the defining factors of this success, Adamello Ultra Trail’s unique courses, retracing the paths of World War I, certainly stand out. Fortresses, military roads, trenches and even tunnels are among the highlights in a race that represents a journey through nature and history. Furthermore, its fixture in the junction between Summer and Fall allows participants to enjoy the Pontedilegno-Tonale area at its finest, with unforgettable colours and landscapes. And it’s no coincidence that many runners come back on the starting line year after year.
Again in 2025, Adamello Ultra Trail will kick-off from the headquarters of Vezza d’Oglio, in Alta Valle Camonica. The organization has confirmed the four distances from the 2024 efition: Adamello Short Trail 35 km, Adamello Half Trail 60 km, Adamello Trail 100 km and the queen race, Adamello Ultra Trail 170 km (100 miles). The event crosses two provinces (Brescia and Trento), two Nature Parks (Adamello and Stelvio), and eight municipalities (seven in Lombardy, and one in Val di Sole, Trentino).
“Our focus is to keep growing, in the wake of a great 2024 edition: it was the perfect way to celebrate our ten-year anniversary. We can’t wait to start a new chapter in 2025, and to be back with athletes, running enthusiasts, and the wonderful volunteers that support us year after year”, said theorganizers of Adamello Ultra Trail ASD.
As usual, the Adamello Ultra Trail program will be plenished by a number of side events, the Adamello Series, taking place on Sunday, September 14, including the Adamello Vertical Kilometer, in its three different formats, and the Adamello Trail Junior for kids and teenagers.
