Alongside the four main distances, the Adamello Series will feature Vertical Kilometer events and the Adamello Trail Junior<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following two consecutive record editions, <strong>Adamello Ultra Trail<\/strong> is ready to make its comeback for the <strong>12th edition<\/strong> in 2026, in its usual calendar slot between summer and autumn. The weekend of <strong>September 25th\u201327th<\/strong> will once again draw runners and ultra-runners from across the globe to the spectacular landscapes of <strong>Alta Val Camonica<\/strong> and <strong>Alta Val di Sole<\/strong>, framed by the <strong>Adamello and Stelvio Nature Parks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From its early steps in <strong>2014<\/strong> \u2014 when only fifty athletes participated, including a single international entrant \u2014 Adamello Ultra Trail has grown remarkably, reaching <strong>more than one thousand runners<\/strong> from <strong>34 Countries <\/strong>in 2025. The event now offers <strong>four distances<\/strong>, each proposing a distinct level of challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Adamello Short Trail<\/strong> (<strong>35 km, 2,200 m of elevation gain<\/strong>) is the most runnable format, thanks to its compact distance and smoother, more regular terrain compared to the longer routes. It is also the only race that does not start from <strong>Vezza d\u2019Oglio<\/strong> \u2014 the operational headquarters of the event \u2014 but instead from the nearby village of <strong>Monno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Introduced in 2024 to celebrate the race\u2019s tenth edition, the <strong>Adamello Half Trail<\/strong> (<strong>60 km, 4,000 m of elevation gain<\/strong>) immediately became a favourite, as shown by its lightning-fast sell-out. Its success grew even further in 2025, with entries doubled <strong>from 150 to 300<\/strong> and once again sold out. This route mirrors the opening section of the two longer distances, following stretches of the First World War military paths before detouring near Case di Viso and returning to Vezza d\u2019Oglio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A further step towards the queen distance is the <strong>Adamello Trail<\/strong> (<strong>100 km, 6,050 m of elevation gain<\/strong>). The course follows the same route as the 170 km until the life base in Ponte di Legno, from where a long descent along the historic Via Carolingia leads back to the finish line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The definitive challenge is the alpine 100-miler: the <strong>Adamello Ultra Trail<\/strong> (<strong>170 km, 11,500 m of elevation gain<\/strong>), an uncompromising physical and mental test unfolding over mule tracks, military roads and high-altitude trails shaped by history. From 650 m above sea level in Edolo to nearly 2,700 m at Passo dei Contrabbandieri, the course crosses from Lombardy into Trentino before returning to Brescia\u2019s side at Passo del Tonale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, the race winds through <strong>eight municipalities<\/strong> across the provinces of Brescia and Trento: Vezza d\u2019Oglio, Tem\u00f9, Vione, Incudine, Edolo, Ponte di Legno and Monno in Lombardy, with Vermiglio representing Trentino\u2019s Alta Val di Sole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winners of the 2025 edition, held from September 26th to 28th, were <strong>Alessandro Mioli<\/strong> and <strong>Margherita Vitali<\/strong> on the 35 km, <strong>Luca Arrigoni<\/strong> and <strong>Paola Gelpi<\/strong> on the 60 km, <strong>Alessandro Affolati<\/strong> and <strong>Beliana Hilbert<\/strong> on the 100 km, and <strong>Simon Krautloher<\/strong> and <strong>Kristina Kmetova<\/strong> on the 170 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>We have just completed two consecutive record editions, both in terms of entries and international representation,<\/em>\u201d said the Adamello Ultra Trail ASD organising committee. \u201c<em>Breaking the 1,000-participant threshold in 2025 \u2014 despite the challenging weather conditions \u2014 is an extraordinary milestone for an event that started from scratch more than ten years ago. It inspires us to keep improving, together with our region, our athletes, enthusiasts and incredible volunteers.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>ADAMELLO VERTICAL KILOMETER &amp; SIDE EVENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Adamello Series<\/strong> \u2014 the programme of side events linked to Adamello Ultra Trail \u2014 will also return, scheduled for <strong>Sunday, September 13th<\/strong> in Vione (Brescia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Adamello Vertical Kilometer<\/strong> (3.7 km, 1,000 m of elevation gain), which received a three-year certification from the <strong>International Skyrunning Federation<\/strong> in early 2025, is set to further strengthen its position as a reference race for Italian and international skyrunning. Last year\u2019s winners were local athlete <strong>Davide Magnini<\/strong> and <strong>Skyrunning Youth World Champion Martina Pozzi<\/strong>.
