In 2021, for the fourth consecutive year, the Italian technical sportswear company will be the main sponsor of the ultra-running event retracing the routes of the Great War
The partnership between Adamello Ultra Trail and long-established Italian technical sportswear brand MICO continues in 2021. The family-run company based in Brescia will be the main sponsor of the event scheduled from September 24th to 26th on the Great War routes, between the Upper Val Camonica and Val di Sole in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area, settling for the fourth consecutive edition an increasingly solid relationship.
Since 2017, the Organizing Committee of Adamello Ultra Trail has found in MICO a reliable partner sharing the same values of competing and promoting the beauty and the excellences of the region. MICO can boast a long-lasting and significant tradition, a local and family-run business established in 1970, always at the forefront for technical sportswear suitable for all weather conditions.
While MICO was initially specialized in socks, the company evolved and expanded its productions to all technical apparel items. In its 50-year history, the brand has had several partnerships with ski and winter sports federations – including the Italian one -, as a testament to the excellent quality of MICO products, a company that strongly focuses on Made in Italy.
From September 24th to 26th, MICO will provide socks, a thermic shirt and a face mask to all Adamello Ultra Trails athletes and the organizing staff, plus the final prizes and extra garments for those completing the 90 or 170 km races.
“The bond between Adamello Ultra Trail and MICO comes from the shared passion for mountains and outdoor, the heart of our enterprises, – said Giovanni Setti, MICO member of the Board of Directors. – To represent the territory is crucial for us; that is why 95% of our articles are “Made in Italy” and the entire socks production is local. Partnering with an event that strives to raise awareness of our mountains and their history is very fond to us: in the 2021 edition, we will display the new logo, which the adverse weather did not allow us to showcase in 2020, our 50th year of production“.
The Adamello Ultra Trail organization also stated its satisfaction in renewing the collaboration with MICO. “This partnership goes beyond the business relationship. We hope to continue together for a long time in the future – said Paolo Gregorini, head of the organizing committee -. Having a partner to share the passion for mountains and outdoors, with quality at the core of their production and worldwide appreciated, makes us very proud“.
