Adamello Ultra Trail sold out for the 2021 edition

With nearly five months to go, the 650 spots made available by the organization went sold out in just 60 days. From September 24th to 26th, the Alta Val Camonica will welcome the World’s best ultra-runners

It took just 60 days for the 2021 Adamello Ultra Trail to go sold out. Following last year’s cancellation due to bad weather conditions, the athletes gave a clear indication of their desire to return to run on the popular courses following the paths of Great War. Scheduled from September 24th to 26th in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area, between the Alta Val Camonica and the Alta Val di Sole, some of the World’s best ultra-runners will give their best in the charming landscapes of the Adamello Park and the Stelvio National Park.

There will be 650 athletes at the start of this 7th edition, on the three different distances: 200 participants for the 170 km Ultra Trail, 250 on the 90 km intermediate distance and 200 for the 35 km Short Trail. Having reached the maximum goal with such an advance can’t make the organization anything but proud: “The love shown towards our event is outstanding – said the Organizing Committee -, and it gives us an extra boost to prepare it at our best. We knew that the riders were looking forward to returning to our mountain after last years’ late scratch, but this quick achievement goes beyond our expectations. We can’t wait to have them here in September”.

The organization is working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the event as they did last year, only to surrender due to bad weather. As it was previously announced, several options to choose from in case of withdrawal are available. When calling the participation off within of June 27th, 2021, there will be an 80% refund of the total fee, while if this happens within of July 31st, 2021, the reimbursement will amount to the 50%. Nonetheless, if the event will have to be cancelled because of organizational issues or Covid-19 related reasons, participants will be able to choose between preserving their registration spot for 2022 or having an 80% refund, according with the same policy applied for the 2020 edition.

For those who could not sign up before the spots were sold out, it is still possible to register to the waiting list on the Adamello Ultra Trail website. In the event of any withdrawal, the organization will offer the opportunity to participate to the people on the list.

The Adamello Ultra Trail will be preceded by two side events: the Adamello Run, a 30 km challenge at the bottom of the valley scheduled at the end of August, and the Adamello Junior, which is dedicated to kids and teenagers and set for the beginning of September. For both events, the registrations will open in the upcoming weeks.
